I’m a mom with a camera, and I’m 45 years old. I wanted a camera to capture everyday moments in the lives of my children. After the encouragement from a friend (I’ll be forever grateful), I proclaimed the camera my only request for my birthday and received my Nikon DSLR as a gift. I am self-taught and am still learning. I love my DSLR, but I have also found I adore iPhonography.
On my 45th birthday I made a resolution to really enjoy life moments, the everyday ones. One evening, while downloading photos from my iPhone, I was surprised, very humored, and even grateful to see this photo of myself taken “accidentally” while I was putting my phone away. I am always behind the lens, so seeing this imperfect, spontaneous photo taken by my iPhone, I saw myself truly enjoying life in the moment, and it was captured spontaneously. For me, the value in my photos is in the capture, whether “perfect” or “imperfect”. I’m going to embrace them, just like life!! Happy Friday – may your weekend be filled with spontaneous photography – imperfect or perfect!! Hugs, Dana
