I’ve been thinking about my old bakery (Dana’s Bread) a LOT. I’ve toyed with the idea of starting it up again…this time in Nashville.
With great fondness and affection, I reminisce about how my grandmother loaned me the needed start-up money (since I had none) and had me sign a “note.” In the days before Kickstarter, we called it a loan.
Opening a bakery was a very special experience and a dream that I was able to fulfill, but sometimes, it’s time to move on to new dreams and experiences … although I have warned Reuben that if the right space presented itself …
For this year, I’ve decided to continue my online courses and my food writing. I’ll be narrowing my focus to writing simple, seasonal recipes and recipes for healthy baked treats. It’s what I built Dana’s Bread on—breads, scones, muffins, cookies, soups, and salads…
I’ll continue to write on style, the “livin’ part of life” in Nashville, our travels, and the personal.
I look forward to combining all the new of my life with the old.
